Возможности, которые могут использоваться либо по отдельности, либо в некоторой комбинации, для доставки услуг пользователю. Характеристики сервисных возможностей оборудования пользователя позволяют определить их логическую функцию таким образом, что она становится независимой от варианта реализации системы 3GPP (хотя все сервисные возможности оборудования пользователя, несомненно, ограничиваются вариантом реализации системы 3GPP).
Примеры: канал передачи данных со скоростью 144 кбит/с; высококачественные услуги телефонной связи; услуги IP телефонной связи; способность ретранслировать речевой вызов. (МСЭ-Т Q.1741).
